Central Asian Day 2018
conference showcasing research on Central Asia in France and beyond
Paris, 27 November 2018
The “Central Asian Day 2018” is organized by the IPAC (Multidisciplinary Initiative on Central Asia) research network, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Iranian and Indian worlds (CNRS, University of Paris 3, EPHE, INALCO) and the GlobalContest research project (ANR-16-ACHN-0034, CERAL / University of Paris 13). The IPAC was created recently to bring together researchers from various institutions working on contemporary Central Asia (20th – 21st centuries) in France. The idea of this conference is to bring together approaches and disciplines (anthropology, sociology, history, economics, political science, international relations, etc.) through interventions by researchers from Europe and Central Asia. The day will end with a guided tour of the Central Asian Fund of the Library of Languages and Civilizations (BULAC).
